Famous pyramids in Sudan. I forget the name of the pyramids
or how old they are or where they're located. I'm pretty
sure that they're pyramids, though. They certainly look like
pyramids.
You get a sense of how big those pyramids are by our lunch truck,
parked off to the right, and the two lone figures walking in the
desert. (Cue "All Along the Watchtower.")
Interestingly enough, the view the other direction was of a lush
and green river valley. Seriously.
I got so much sand in my shoes on the way down from this vista
point that for a brief period I was actually classified as part of
the Nubian Desert.
