Well, I'll Be Doggone



Finally, as a reward for finishing a ride across the African continent, every Tour d'Afrique participant
is offered the chance to open up a live dog.  This is Ralphie, and I'm going for his aorta. 

Just kidding.  It's not a real dog, though it's extremely realistic.  It's part of the exhibit at the hospital
in Cape Town where the first successful heart transplant was performed.  You can learn all about
Dr. Christaan Barnard and the history-making event, with equally realistic displays of the actual surgery. 

Then you get to go cut up a live dog.
