For a brief moment, I thought we were in Ecuador. 

Note the altitude (about 1947 meters).  After biking around the mountains of Ethiopia, 6300 feet felt like the Dead Sea.  I guess Cape Town, on the Atlantic Ocean, probably feels like the Marianas Trench. 

I was going to jump across the line, shouting "Summer!  Winter!  Summer!  Winter!" but I got lost. 

I'd really like to see San Francisco get a sign that says "You are now crossing the 37.7833rd parallel."
