After a break, I bicycled to Mission San José, which, rather confusingly, is not located in San Jose
at all, but in Fremont.  This is a little bit like holding the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Glasgow. 

    

Mission San José sits on the edge of Silicon Valley.  Those dry hills in the background?  If history
holds true, by next year they'll be covered with condominiums filled with young men playing
video games in their underwear. 

The various monuments in the graveyard are for failed startup companies.
