From Mission San José (in Fremont), it was a short ride (through San Jose) to Mission Santa Clara de Asís.

Santa Clara is probably the least mission-ish mission of all the missions.  It's not in its original location, and
pretty much all that's left of it is this one room, which, frankly, feels mission-ish only when compared to, say, a
late-model Arby's drive-thru.  Sure, there's a historical plaque, but, heck, there's a historical plaque in San Francisco
showing where Carol Doda invented the topless bar. 

And, no, the plaque in San Francisco is not in Braille.
