Then it was over the mountains (1800') from Silicon Valley and down
into Santa Cruz.

Perhaps oddly, Mission Santa Cruz is the only mission I've never been inside of, despite
the fact that it was located only a few blocks from where my father lived.  It's less odd when
you realize that the town of Santa Cruz is home to Marianne's Ice Cream.  There's only so
many minutes in a lifetime, and we all have to choose our own houses of worship.
